Week 1 Term 3

Wow! What a surprise it was to have an assembly item to do in the first week of term. You were amazing and I think you all should be very pleased with the item. USE YOUR MANNERS! I will get the video onto the blog next week. (I cannot work out the camera and need to talk to someone at school who knows :)

I hope the class newsletter made it home. Here is a copy here:
  • Recycle and reuse with Simon from Wanaka Waste busters, week 2. Mon and Tues, 11am. Wed and Thurs, 2.15pm.
  • Ice skating, week 4, 5 and 6
  • Snowfarm Nordic skiing, week 5
  • Cross country

Watch the school website for updates.

Reading: No changes there! EVERY night read the book you bring home. If you do not bring home a book, read a book of your choice for at least 10 minutes. Remember to fill in the back of your homework book and get Mum or Dad to sign it.

Spelling: Learn the words in your homework book. Test Friday!

You can add a sentence to the Wiki story on the class blog.

Maths: At times you will have basic facts worksheets. Time yourself and try to do them faster each time. Do some maths on the class blog.

Online Learning: More home learning activities are on our class blog They will also link in with what we are learning in class.

Homework books will go home on Monday and need to be back in the class by the following Friday to be marked.

Weekly news ideas:

Starting Week 1 holiday news and the following alternate weeks starting week 3 own news told to your class group.

Looking for a challenge? Alternate weeks starting week 2 present to the class a new dance, musical instrument, song or rap using recycled items and ideas. It is up to you to be creative.
